Zakat and Sadaqah

We accept Zakat and Sadaqah. Zakat is kept in a separate fund and spent only on eligible recipients: people in poverty and need, including those who are homeless, in debt, or unable to support themselves.

Please mention “Zakat” in your transfer reference or email, and we will confirm how it was used.

Where your money goes

  • Shelter beds, meals and winter clothing
  • Treatment fees and medicines for people in recovery
  • Wheelchairs, hearing aids and other equipment
  • Safe accommodation and legal help for survivors of abuse
  • Caseworkers and counsellors who follow each person for months

We publish audited accounts every year, showing exactly how donations were spent.

Questions about giving

Will I get a receipt?

Yes. Email us your name and transfer reference and we will send a receipt within a week.

Can I choose which programme my gift supports?

Yes. Mention the programme in your transfer reference or email. Unrestricted gifts help most, because they go wherever the need is greatest that week.

Can I give from outside India?

Please contact us first. Foreign donations to Indian non-profits are regulated, and we will tell you whether we can accept them.

Do you share donor details?

Never. We do not sell, rent or share donor information.
